Vincent Looten - MD, MSc
Assistant Professor of biostatistics and medical informatics
I am an assistant professor of biostatistics and medical informatics working at the Paris Descartes University and the Georges Pompidou European Hospital. I’m working on the methodological and general aspects of the secondary use of routine care data (with the clinical data warehouse of the Georges Pompidou European hospital) and administrative data of the National Health Data System (SNDS). My favorite topic is to link health policy issues and methodological aspects. I’m working on the interface of applied mathematics and medical informatics.
My PhD project is starting in october 2017 supervised by Pr Sandrine Katsahian and cosupervised by Karim Bounebache (US10/Cépidc center for the epidemiology of causes of death). I have the objective to develop a knowledge-driven and data-driven approaches to support phenotype algorithms adapted to the SNDS and CDW. The underlying idea of this project is to explore machine learning methods to improve the disease phenotyping.
